January 13, 2026PRAIRIE HILL ROAD BRIDGE CLOSURE
Prairie Hill Road between IL Route 2 (Blackhawk Boulevard) and
South Bluff Road, in the vicinity of the Village of Rockton and the
City of South Beloit, will be closed to traffic for replacement of the
Prairie Hill Road bridge over the Rock River. Local traffic will have
access on either side of the bridge.
Depending on the weather, work is scheduled to start on Monday
February 2, 2026 and it’s anticipated to be completed by the end of
November, 2026. The duration of the work and road closure is
dependent on the weather. Please use caution in construction zones

November 16, 2025We’ve officially wrapped up our full repaving project, and of course, we couldn’t resist taking it for a test drive. The results? Exactly what we hoped for. The new surface is incredibly smooth, noticeably grippier, and delivers a confident, consistent feel throughout the entire circuit.
This upgrade marks a significant step forward for the track, and we’re thrilled with its performance. Now all that’s missing is you. We can’t wait to welcome drivers back and let everyone experience the new surface for themselves in 2026!

Blackhawk Farms Raceway, one of the Midwest’s most historic and beloved road courses, is proud to announce the complete repaving of its 1.95-mile, seven-turn racing circuit. This marks a significant track upgrade aimed at improving performance, safety, and the overall driving experience for racers and enthusiasts alike.
The repaving project is part of Blackhawk Farms’ ongoing commitment to maintaining its reputation as a premier destination for grassroots motorsports, club racing, and performance driving. The new surface will provide smoother, more consistent grip and improved drainage, ensuring optimal racing conditions throughout the season.
“Blackhawk Farms has always been about creating an accessible and enjoyable racing environment,” said Paul Musschoot, Owner of Blackhawk Farms Raceway. “This repaving represents a long-term investment in our racers, clubs, and the future of Midwest motorsports. We’re excited to deliver a faster, safer, and more consistent surface that will keep Blackhawk thriving for decades to come.”
Work is scheduled to begin October 27, 2025 and will be completed before the year end. The project will use high-performance asphalt specifically engineered for motorsport applications, designed to handle the heat, stress, and precision demands of modern racing.
Blackhawk Farms Raceway has been a fixture in American motorsports since 1967, known for its friendly atmosphere, approachable layout, and commitment to driver development. The track hosts hundreds of events annually, including SCCA, MCSCC, ASRA, AHRMA, Motovid, autocross, and performance driving schools.
The facility will remain active during the renovation process, with updates and progress reports shared on the official website and social media channels.

This unmanned airstrip is well maintained and ready for landing. There is no charge to use the landing strip. Traffic advisory 122.9
